Political Action Committees
Both political action committees KOPAC and AOA-PAC work together to support the field of optometry in the legal realm. Donations to both KOPAC and AOA-PAC are greatly appreciated from optometrists and the general public alike.
KOPAC
Kansas Optometric Political Action Committee (KOPAC) is supported by KOA members in order to deal with legislation affecting the profession. The KOA greatly appreciates those members who have generously donated, and continue to donate, to support KOPAC.
AOA-PAC
The AOA-PAC is committed to representing the nearly 36,000 doctors, students, paraoptometric assistants and technicians from state legislature to Capitol Hill and beyond. They're fighting for your best interests-whether that means helping you contact your state representative, monitoring changes in healthcare reform, or supporting political candidates who back the AOA mission.
