KOA Convention & Seminar 2023

Join us for the KOA Convention & Seminar 2023 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Manhattan, Kansas. 

OD Program:

The education for optometrists will include at least 13 hours CE spread over two and 1/2 days. The program will kick off on Thursday, April 27 with an inspirational message from Dan Meers (KC Wolf), followed by our awards presentation and CE provided by Dr. Jeff Gerson.  Thursday night will also include the President's Reception followed by the Eyeball Pub Crawl in Aggieville.  Friday will include CE from Dr. Chris Borgman, along with KOA Business Meetings, Elections of Offices, AOA Update and opportunities to visit with vendors. Saturday will feature education from Dr. Breanne McGhee.

We will also host a golf tournament at Colbert Hills. It is scheduled for the morning of Thursday, April 27and is open to ODs, spouses, staff, industry partners, and guests.

Paraoptometric Program:

The in-person education for paraoptometric staff will also be spread over two days, with many of the classes AOA and/or ABO approved CE. In addition to Dan Meers, the paraoptometric program will include a presentation from Tara Dimick on Core Values and Branding and paras are invited to participate in the Thursday night reception and Eyeball Pub Crawl. On Friday, paraoptometric CE will include presentations from Dianna Graves and Jackie O'Keefe Lincoln (different lectures than what she presented at the Heart). Saturday morning, Amy Noll will provide a billers seminar.

Hotel Information:

• The event will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 410 South 3rd Street in Manhattan, Kansas.  We have negotiated a discounted room rate for a block of rooms at the hotel.  You can reserve your rooms  online or by calling 785-532-9116 (Please use group code OPTOME). The deadline for discounted room rates is  April 1, 2023, so reserve your rooms ASAP.
• A block of rooms has been secured at the Fairfield Inn adjacent to the headquarters hotel.  You can reserve rooms through the overflow block online.

Vendors:

We are looking forward to another exciting in-person event in Manhattan, featuring excellent opportunities to visit with optometrists and optometric staff from across the state.
